![]() There are lots of sea creatures and fish to observe. That was really enough time to tool around and have fun. It was easy to walk around and look without the sales people harping you. We ventured out to the Mall and shopping on the property. Bars had pretty much every drink option you would ask for. We spent equal time at the beaches and pools. ![]() The staff in each place was friendly and very attentive. The food options were wonderful and everything we tried was yummy. We ate meals in the multiple buffets and had several meals in the restaurants. Our rooms were open and not cramped at all. ![]() We like all inclusives and understand that we are probably sacrificing things like high quality food for not having to worry about prices of meals and drinks but we will probably not stay in a Barcelo Resort again.… The best food I’ve had so far was at the sports bar, Strykers where I had a bacon wrapped hot dog! *reservation for restaurants and massages were messed up and one of them happened last night on my husbands birthday! Some of this is due to the fact that most employees do not speak very good English. It seems that the rule of thumb for this chain of resorts is to overcook EVeRYTHING! Even the hash brown triangles at the breakfast buffet are WELL done. You don’t want to go out on the balcony with the pool view room anyway because of the microphone and the humidity! *So far we are not impressed with any of the food at the restaurants that required reservations, except for Kyoto which is a Hibachi type restaurant. Not sure why they need the microphone turned up so loud as those participating in the activities are right there, in front of them! I can’t imagine if my kids and granddaughter had this room and they were trying to get her down for a nap! They have a garden view room and it is so peaceful. The activities directors have microphones that they have turned all the way UP!!! We are at the other end of the pool but it sounds like there is a party going on on our balcony. * Do not get a “Pool View” room unless you like constant noise, all day, and not from the guests playing in the pool. Our sliding glass door lock doesn’t work properly either. ![]() *The employees are extremely nice and helpful! What we don’t like: *They certainly spend a lot of time making the resort look nice but they need to pay attention to locks! I can’t tell you how many of the bathrooms in this resort and the others have locks that don’t work in the bathroom stalls! The main pool bathroom, for example, out of three stalls only one locks properly! Our room’s deadlock doesn’t work and although we called on it because it’s a safety issue, they never showed up. * All the Barcelo resorts share a little mall and you can shop at any of the shops in the other resorts. *there is an adults only pool with a bar which is wonderful and cabanas that you can rent. *There is a great pool play area for the kids if you are coming with your family. We can get any place at the pool that we want. *We are here in the off season and no one is here. Which means you can make reservations and eat at the restaurants in the other resorts. Here are some things that we do like: *The Palace enables you to go to the other resorts (except for the Riviera which is exclusive because it’s adults only). We are currently here, in the middle of our vacation, and I can say that I’m not quite sure what all the hype is about. We heard from reviews and people that we know that this all inclusive was awesome.
